Enhance Your Curb Appeal with Hydrangea Trees

Posted by on July 5th 2017 in blog

Give your entrance, yard, or patio an extra burst of color with a dazzling hydrangea tree! Hydrangea trees, in particular ‘Limelight,’ Pink Diamond, and the stellar new Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea trees, are perfect for enhancing your home. This family of Panicle Hydrangeas has an impressive, long-blooming season and should be pruned in the fall after blooming. If you want larger (but fewer) flowers to add to your home aesthetic, you also have the option of thinning out your hydrangea by pruning out some of the branches. Learn more about the three hydrangea trees that can help amp up curb appeal.

Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea

Plant a Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea tree by your front door or in some pots on your patio to enhance your home’s appearance. This tree has a long-blooming display of huge clusters of flowers. The flowers start as creamy white and transition to pink and then finally a gorgeous strawberry red. This vibrant plant will bloom bursts of blossoms in July, and later in the season the plant will become multi-colored as new flowers bloom next to the old. This tree is sure to catch your neighbors’ eyes!

Pink Diamond Hydrangea

Pink Diamond Hydrangea trees are an excellent choice for boosting your curb appeal. This tree boasts huge, up to 10″, pink flower buds. The stately flowers open to creamy-white in late summer then quickly mature to a rich, deep pink. Tip: Dried blooms can be used indoors year round or in combination containers outdoors.

‘Limelight’ Hydrangea

‘Limelight’ Hydrangea trees make a stunning addition to any yard with beautiful flowers and large, dark green foliage. ‘Limelight’ blooms large, bright lime-green flower panicles in mid-summer until frost. These lime-green flowers age white then turn pink in the autumn. This plant’s blooms are closer to a cone shape versus other hydrangeas that have a mounded bloom. ‘Limelight’ Hydrangea blooms can be cut and used indoors for floral arrangements and are also popular in dried floral arrangements, especially in winter containers.
