This nicely rounded plant is well suited for a low formal hedge around perennial beds or patios. Boxwoods are known for their excellent dark green color all year, their compact habit and their hardiness.
An ornamental show piece visible in public parks, around our city lakes, and in both commercial and residential properties. It’s allure: A veritable fountain of yellow flowers erupting in spring, it’s hardiness, and it’s delicate green foliage. Performs well in sun or light shade.
Magnolias in Minnesota? But of course! White, star shaped blossoms adorn the branches of this magnificent tree in early spring. As the spring and summer progress, our focus turns to the Merrill’s rich green, glossy leaves and soft gray bark.
There are a handful of cold hardy Magnolias available, each quite beautiful in their own right.
The Taunton Yew is a must for any shade garden in need of structure. This low maintenance evergreen shrub responds well to trimming and can make an excellent year-round hedge, or plant one or two for a more free flowing form. **Remember to watch out for strong winter sun!
The Acrocona is a small drooping cultivar of our familiar Norway spruce– with abundant, reddish-purple cones in spring. Young plants grow horizontally and with age will begin to grow more upright. Like a true Norway, this plant is tolerant of all kinds of wicked weather. We know you’re going to love this tree.
