Family Gardening

You may enjoy some solitary, peaceful down time in the yard, but those moments when you can get everyone involved feels really great too.  The whole family working on a project together can be a fun endeavor and a bit of a learning experience for the little guys and gals.  Before you get started it's good to have a plan of attack and to define areas that are more conducive to some wild tool handling or haphazard pruning.  You may have already figured out that easy garden chores include things like clipping hosta flower stalks, planting pansies and veggies, digging up weeds, pulling the creeping charlie strands and cutting back blue salvia.  This time of year I love to have help making little bouquets for vases in the house and planting bulbs that will bloom in Spring.  What is your favorite family garden chore?  (I would love to hear from you.)
