Geum ‘Triflorum’ (Avens)

So many names, so many attributes to this lovely native plant.

geum triflorum prairie smoke perennial

So many names, so many attributes to this lovely native plant. Geum ‘Triflorum’ is also known as Prairie Smoke, Old Man Whiskers, and Three-Flowered Avens. We like the name Prairie Smoke since that seems to best describe it’s feathery, wispy, smokey-pink seed heads. This native plant is great for borders or a small scale groundcover.
