stachys helene von stein lamb's ear perennial

Best know as ‘Lamb’s Ear’ or simply ‘Big Ears,’ this wonderfully unique perennial produces a low mat of wolly silvery grey foliage.  ‘Helen Von Stein’ feature the largest leaves of all varieties of Lamb’s Ear.   My favorite characteristic of this wonderful plant is the soft velevty texture of the leaves, which children love to rub between their fingers.  Although grown primarliy for its foliage, this plant also produces tall flower spikes that bear pink flowers in the summer.
