Christmas Tree Care

Know how to care for your Christmas Tree.

Christmas tree

Know how to care for your Christmas Tree.

Once you’ve made the journey to the tree lot, walked up and down the rows sizing up the season’s best, twirled and danced the perfect tree around, consider the next couple steps the most important.  Remember to give your Sunnyside tree sales person the OK to cut 2″-3″ off the bottom.  This fresh cut will allow the exposure of fresh, unstuck capillaries that can take up water.  Next, get your tree home and in water within 45min! It is possible that your tree will be VERY thirsty for the first 24-48 hours.  Fill your tree stand with water before going to bed, before going to work and as soon as you are reunited after an extended time away.

We believe that warm water works the best for softening sap and opening passages for the water to by taken up by the tree.  Added tree preservatives like PROLONG, can possibly prolong the soft needles and freshness of your tree.

Happy Holidays!!
