mukdenia karasuba red-leafed perennial

This easy to grow Heuchera relative from China makes a great specimen plant in the shade garden.  Grown mostly for its color-changing foliage, Mukdenia leaves start changing color in summer as the tips of the leaves turn a deep, brick red.   As the season progresses the red creeps to the innermost regions of the leaves making a stunning fall statement in the garden.
