A distinctly different stachys than it better known cousin Lamb’s Ear, ‘Hummelo features a dense, low growing mound of dark green, heavily textured leaves that send up spikes of heavily covered lavender purple flowers in summer.  This perennial is very attractive to hummingbirds.
