  • Begin applying weed preventers and animal repellents

  • Early May, finish spring clean-up
  • Water, as needed
  • Mulch
  • Begin weeding
  • Late May, plant annuals & perennials, direct sow summer veg., plant summer bulbs, begin fertilizing

June 

  • Direct sow summer veg.
  • Plant annuals
  • Plant perennials
  • Water, as needed
  • Mulch
  • Weeding
  • Fertilizing
  • Begin deadheading
  • Apply sawfly spray, as needed

July 

  • Plant perennials

  • Late July, direct sow fall vegs, divide bearded iris
  • Can plant annuals and divide perennials, but not ideal
  • Staking plants, as needed

  • Direct sow fall veg (finish by mid-August)
